ABOUT TERRA


Terra is a brand new collection inspired by a lifelong love of plants, gardening, and exploring the outdoors. From ingredients to design, Terra is simple. Made with domestically grown soy wax, cotton core wicks, all-natural fragrance oils (100% derived from natural sources), and an infusion of essential oils, Terra is made only with what’s necessary.

The terracotta pot is inspired by the shape and detailing of our signature glass jar candles and is designed to be reused as a planter after each candle is finished.

SIZING INFORMATION


Our 17.5 oz soy wax Terra candles fill medium to large spaces, such as a living room or bedroom, quite nicely. To achieve a stronger scent throw, we suggest burning two or more Terra candles at once. Burns for 75-85 hours. Measures 4.25” in diameter and 3.5” in height.


CANDLE CARE 101

+Trim your wick to 1/4" before each lighting

+Allow the melted wax pool to reach the edges of the jar before extinguishing to prevent wax from building along the sides of the pot and tunneling

+We recommend burning for approximately 3 hours at a time, though no longer than 4 hours

+Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of drafts, pets, or small children

+Terra pot will be hot after burning, so allow wax to cool completely before handling

EXCHANGES & RETURNS


Once a package is picked up and scanned in by our carrier, the shipping / delivery status is no longer within our control; we are unable to replace missing or stolen packages at this time. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards or third party items.


EUROPE

We get it - trying scents online is tough, that’s why we have a 100% satisfaction policy. If you aren’t happy with your purchase, please reach out to our Customer Care team at webshopeu@pfcandleco.com and we’ll help get the process started. As a growing small business, we aren’t currently able to cover shipping costs, but are always happy to ship exchanges at no extra charge.

Exchanges or returns must be made within 30 days of delivery and require proof of purchase (e.g. your P.F. order number, order confirmation email, store receipt). Refunds cover the cost of the item returned and do not include shipping fees.


INTERNATIONAL

We are currently unable to offer exchanges on international orders, we apologize for the inconvenience. If you’d like to return your order for a refund, please note that shipping costs for international returns are the customer’s responsibility. Shipping costs are not included in refunds for return orders.


STORE CREDIT

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that you can never have too much P.F. If you’d prefer store credit instead of a refund, let us know and we’d be happy to help. Store credit is issued for the amount of the product and does not include shipping fees.

The Terra vessels feature a neutral blush hue and clay that ages over time, causing it to naturally take on a unique dark patina. This is a normal part of the aging process and we love that it adds so much natural character.

Our History

DIY GROWTH

P.F. Candle Co., born Pommes Frites, was founded by Kristen in 2008. She lost her job when the recession hit, and relocated to Austin with the dream of making things by hand to pay the bills. The P.F. Candle Co. signature amber jar line was launched in 2012 after hours spent on the craft fair circuit and another cross-country move. P.F. got its big break in 2013, when the line was picked up by West Elm following an Etsy pop-up. The demand from this big break inspired Tom to join the business full time, after years of behind-the-scenes help. Since 2013, P.F. has expanded from two people to a team of 31. From a studio apartment operation to globally recognized brand, P.F. is a completely bootstrapped enterprise. With no formal business degrees or experience, this company has been built by the spirit of grit, passion, DIY, with a huge help from our independent boutique partners and customers that have continued to support us along the way.

The Founders

About Kristen

Kristen’s been creating things, even candles, since a young age. She poured her first candle at the age of 12. After graduating from college, Kristen found herself at a publishing company, writing about the burgeoning maker movement. An early byproduct of the recession, Kristen lost her job in 2008 when the magazine folded. So, she did what any normal person would do: she uprooted to Austin (from New York) to start a small business. After several years scrapping together a living, the opportunity came up to relocate to California.



About Tom

Tom’s background in hardcore and punk bands isn’t the normal path to running a candle company, but that background helped shape the DIY and inclusive ethos of P.F. Tom took a circuitous route to business owner: high school dropout, reluctant college grad, and eventually, Operations Director. Tom always helped behind the scenes, but when Kristen had a large PO looming on the horizon, and job opportunities were limited, Tom made a promise: if Kristen landed that PO, he’d help make all the candles. The rest is history!

What comes with my order?

Our soy candles, reed diffusers, and unisex perfume ship individually boxed and ready for gifting. Room sprays are carefully wrapped in paper and incense is packed in individual kraft packages.

Can I send my order as a gift?

Absolutely! If you would like to leave a gift note, check the box below your cart items before clicking “check out”. Please note all shipments include P.F.'s return address and branding on the exterior carton.

Do you offer gift cards?

Sorry, we do not currently gift cards for E.U. customers.

Where can I buy P.F. products in my area?
